As I sit down to write my 100 word rant, I’m immediately surged with a million creative ideas at once… but none of which I can take advantage of for my assignment. In moments like these, I realize how much my creativity is suppressed due to censorship. While freedom of the press is a constitutional right for every citizen living in the United States, student expression continues to be censored in our high school. Why should students not be allowed to express their opinions freely in an appropriate manner, but read disturbing stories with graphic imagery or psychotic protagonists? So much for censorship…
